Stove and Fireguards

Stove and Fireguards are a must in order to maintain a safe environment for our little ones. Fireguards are generally those mesh type guards that sit around the hearth of a standard fire place. A fireguard can fulfill a few functions, it obviously keeps busy fingers back from the intense heat, it also can shield coal and fuel buckets that sit around the fireplace and also can protect unsteady toddlers from falling against the hearth egdes. The Clippasafe Fireguards come in two types the flat top Extending Fireguard and the Arched topped Classic Fireguard, both have extensions available and both can be complimented with a depth extension for deeper hearths.

Stove guards on the other hand are a protector for the more modern type solid fuel stoves that free stand in a room or sometimes can be sitting on the hearth of a converted fireplace. The stoves are much higher in nature and generally cannot be accomodated by a traditional Fireguard, they also have doors that need to be opened for refueling and easier access is needed. Babydan do a range of Stove guards or Hearth guards that can surround the Stove at a safe distance and have an easy access gate at the front. These can be angle adjusted to suit all dimensions and again extra sections can be purchased for the larger stoves and hearths.
