If your child’s curiosity is stressing you, this BabyDan ASTA pressure fit safety gate is a great way to create child friendly areas in your home and keep your little one safe. You can open the safety gate with just one hand both ways, which makes it easy to pass through even with your hands full. With a pressure fit safety gate, you avoid wall cups and can easily remove the gate if needed. Please note: To take care of the environment and reduce our consumption of resources, this safety gate comes with parts to fit the opening dimensions listed under specifications. Therefore, we always recommend that you find a safety gate where the width of your door, staircase, or where you want to place the gate fits within the opening dimensions. The gate will not fit openings that are smaller or wider than the specified dimensions. If you already have a Asta safety gate you want to shorten or extend, you can purchase one or more Extend-A-Gate or Reduce-A-Gate kits which make it possible to shorten the gate down to 73.5 cm/29" or extend it up to 183 cm/72 ". What is a True Pressure Fit Safety Gate?
Baby Dan is the only manufacturer to produce True Pressure Fit Safety Gates under the new standard. A True Pressure Fit Gate is not screwed on to the door frame or wall, but fitted in place under pressure. That means you avoid marks and holes in the wall or frame. This type of gate is well suited for use at the foot or top of a staircase and at doorways of utility room, kitchen, bathroom or other rooms where you prefer to keep your child supervised.

Indicator - extra safety for you and your child
All Baby Dan pressure fit safety gates feature a build in safety indicator, showing if the gate has been mounted correctly. The indicator is an extra safety measure for you as a parent and others caring for your child.

If the indicator is:
Invisible/white: Your safety gate has been mounted correctly.
Visible/red: Tighten the nuts. If the indicator is still visible on the closed gate add wall cups. If adding wall cups doesn’t help you cannot mount the gate safely in this opening. Choose a screwmounted gate instead.
